I had heard this was an amazing restaurant and that there filets where the best ever. Well that rumor was absolutely true! We loved every single item that we had. Of course I tried everyone's meal. The filet was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing and it was the best steak I have ever had! The spinach salad was delicious, it was tossed perfectly with the vinaigrette! Th cheese burgers and fries was great! The burger was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and I must say these fries are the best I have ever had, they were cooked to perfect crisp and seasoned. The staff was super friendly, prompt, and ensured our glasses were not empty. The atmosphere was very mixed, but in a good way. It made me think of a fancy restaurant had a baby with a sports bar and Seasonings was born.
Classy place with delicious food. Stumbled upon this place before seeing Sebastian Bach in concert. The Wagyu meatballs are scrumptious!
We arrived dinner time Saturday night not thinking about graduation or mother's day being busy. They got us in no problem. Our server Preston was fantastic from the start. He was very attentive and quick to keep check on us. Owner came out and spoke with us and was very laid back and friendly. We were starving so we simply ordered cheese curds for appetizer and burgers. Cheese curds were perfect. They were big and cheesy which is all you need. I don't say much about burgers often but the burger was so savory. It had the perfect amount of flavor and seasoning. The fries were well fries but they were good as well. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing and we look forward to returning.
Erick our server was great and sweet. He gave us details on the specials and homemade soaps. It was truly delicious. The place is huge and very nice. Food is delicious. .

My wife and I chose Seasoning to have a dinner celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. The decor is gorgeous and atmosphere very welcoming. We had the street tacos for an appetizer, and they were yummy. We both had burgers and fries for dinner. Let me tell you that I do not think you will find a better burger locally. They were extremely flavorful and juicy. We were so stuffed after that, but we still managed to have a sundae with the toffee caramel sauce and it was so very good as well. Our service was excellent and we even received a sweet card from the staff. Troy, Katie, and Co have the machine fine tuned and firing on all cylinders. Definitely returning soon! Strongly recommend.
It was the finale of the Christmas weekend, the lady an I had reservations early evening. We never really dress up anymore so this was a good opportunity to do so. Upon arrival we were seated at the bar while we waited for our table. The bar was very spacious, and welcoming. The seats were really comfortable and the bartenders were all on top of their game. When the time came to go to our table we were alerted by the hostess and was sat at a nice booth. Our server came out and was very polite and attentive. We ordered Steak and Salmon and a order of crab cakes. Everything came out as it should. Steak cooked to a perfect medium as requested, the Salmon was large and flaky as it should be and the Crab Cakes were moist and very tender. This was our first time ever trying Seasonings and would like to say you all knocked it out of the park. Run, dont walk.🏃♀️🏃♂️ Just go there, order ANYTHING!🧾 The Shrimp Scampi 🍤 and the Teriyaki Salmon.....to die for!⚰️ I have NEVER tasted 🍄's that had sooooo much flavor when added as an ingredient. I normally don't indulge in alcohol, but the Basic Witch had me under her spell...🧙♀️ Fabulous atmosphere, and our waitress had THE best personality!🙋♀️ Life is full of regrets. Fantastic food, great service, bright & fun atmosphere. We really enjoyed everything we had: - Wagyu Meatballs: that sauce!! - Pork Shank w cherry compote w mashed potatoes & pork jus: unexpectedly delicious combination of flavors! - Fried Chicken Thighs (OMG!!) over Gouda Grits w sweety peppers: gotta find these little sweet drop peppers in the store! - Butterscotch Roister - go it To Go to eat with my coffee the next morning (too full to eat there) but I did have one little bite last night & you have to get it! The complimentary bread & butter (2 types: 1 was garlicky & 1 cinnamon) - both amazing as well as the sourdough bread! We were staying in Creal Springs for the weekend & wanted some where nice to celebrate our anniversary & the Seasoning Bistro knocked it out of the park. We live 1.5 hours away & have already talked about driving up just to eat here again!
This is about the best Southern Illinois has to offer. I love the Shawnee and all the surrounding towns, but it can be hard to find great food. If you're into upscale menus with a good wine and drink menu, you won't be disappointed dining here. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We got a Kobe Frisco burger with sweet potato fries, which if course was fantastic. We ordered it medium rare and it came out perfectly done. As an appetizer, we got buffalo cauliflower bites which were also great. The wine list wasn't huge but it had a decent choice for everyone interested. For dessert, we ordered the vanilla bean creme brulee. They burned it right at the table which was fun. They do take reservations and I'd recommend getting one based on their availability tonight which was a Thursday evening.
